FAQ
For which animals is EnteroZoo suitable?
For all! And no, we are not exaggerating. It is really suitable for all animals, both for the more exotic ones, as well as domestic animals and livestock. From birds to hamsters, mice, dogs, cats, horses and cows – it takes care of everything.
Is EnteroZoo safe to use?
EnteroZoo is completely safe to use, even EnteroZOO® can be used during pregnancy and lactation without risk. EnteroZOO® is not absorbed into the blood and is removed from the body in the faeces 7 to 12 hours after use. EnteroZoo also has no contraindications. Due to its hydrophobic structure, it does not bind water and therefore does not cause constipation. Accidental application or ingestion of a large amount of EnteroZoo product is therefore not dangerous in principle.
What are the ingredients of EnteroZoo?
EnteroZoo consists of only two ingredients! The exact composition is: 60% polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate, 40% purified water.
Does EnteroZoo contain allergens?
No, EnteroZoo is made from only two ingredients (60% polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate, 40% purified water).
Do I really need to shake EnteroZoo before each use?
Yes, EnteroZoo is a suspension. The solid particles are dispersed in the liquid in the form of small particles. Physically, it is an unstable system. Particles of solid matter usually tend to sediment due to gravity. Therefore, it is important to shake the tube or bags before each use to cause the gel to re-crosslink. When shaking, you can hear how the consistency of the gel “thickens”.
Which packaging is the most "useful"?
EnteroZoo and its composition are the same in all packages. The packages differ only in the packed quantity and packaging (bags, tube or jar). When choosing a package, consider the weight of your animal and problems (acute or chronic). For chronic problems, we recommend a jar (450g) or the EnteroZoo triple tube set (3x100g). We also recommend the listed packages for larger animals. For smaller animals and acute problems, we recommend the basic packaging in a tube (100g). For travelling, a package of Enterozoo bags (15x10g).
Why is my EnteroZoo not completely gelatinous or gel-like structures?
According to its chemical structure, EnteroZoo is a hydrogel, but it is also a suspension and contains as much as 40% purified water. The physico-chemical properties do not allow for a completely gelatinous structure or solid gel structures. It’s almost more of a runny consistency and there’s nothing wrong with that.
How much EnteroZoo should I give my animal?
The dosage of Enterozoo depends on the weight of your animal. You can find more detailed instructions for all dosages under the individual category of animals on our website.
What side effects can EnteroZOO® cause?
In very rare cases, constipation may occur. No other side effects have been detected so far.
Can Enterozoo be used while taking other medications or nutritional supplements?
Apply EnteroZOO 1-2 hours before or after administering other medicine (this prevents EnteroZOO from binding any of the active ingredients). If you decide to add probiotics, it is best to apply them 2 hours after EnteroZoo. EnteroZoo does not interfere with the natural microflora, so in most cases the addition of probiotics is not necessary.

EnteroZoo can also be consumed by healthy animals to strengthen the immune system, as EnteroZoo contributes to greater body resistance and better animal health.
How is EnteroZOO® used?
EnteroZoo can be mixed into the animal’s food or water. The gel is odorless and tasteless and animals generally like to eat it. You can also put it on your pet’s favorite treat or just on the finger. If the animal is picky, you can also apply it with a syringe directly into the muzzle. We have also received advice from customers to apply EnteroZoo to animals’ paws so that they “clean” them themselves and consume the product.
Do I need to store Enterozoo in refrigerator?
No. Do not freeze EnteroZoo. Low temperatures destroy the structure of the gel and it becomes unusable. Store it at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.

First dose – two standard single doses, then single dosage after each defecation. After diarrhoea has ceased it is recommended that EnteroZOO® continue to be used for 3 days in the standard dosage by weight.
How to administer Enterozoo in case of allergies?
In the case of seasonal atopies, it is ideal for the owner to start using EnteroZoo before the allergen appears in the environment. The application of the gel should then continue throughout the duration of the allergen’s occurrence (e.g. even spring, summer), namely three times a day. We recommend that the treatment be combined with other procedures that have a beneficial effect on the animal (eg bathing with special shampoos several times a week, supplementation of omega 3 fatty acids, etc.).
How long can we store Enterozoo?
Enterozoo has a shelf life of 3 years. The expiration date is also always printed on the packaging. The bags must be thrown away after opening, as they are intended for single use and dry out after opening.
Can Enterozoo also be used in young and pregnant animals?
EnteroZoo is also completely safe for pregnant animals and puppies from birth onwards. In suckling puppies, in case of diarrhea or poisoning, it can be administered directly into the stomach via a feeding tube.
